FOOD is a six-minute satirical film that uses visual metaphor and a lot of symbolism. A woman picks up three bums. They cannot resist her beauty and sex appeal and stoically comply with her humiliating demands.

Running time 6 minutes.
Shooting days: 2 (plus one evening of wasted shots where location did not work)
Total recorded footage: 5 hours
Hours of work - please do not ask, but I worked on it for six months... more than full time.

Many people were involved, four actors, two crew members, four local singers, Adele as director of photography (I could not have done it without her!) and me as writer and director. Props and locations included new $80,000 BMW 740 (courtesy of Stan Mayhew of the BMW of Eugene), boxing ring (courtesy of Oakway Fitness Center and Hardknox Boxing Club), South Eugene High School track stadium, luxurious private residence south of Eugene, and very generous permission from 'Perfessor' Bill Edwards allowing me to use his music.

The film turned out great - beautiful Gabby, Strider, Tom, and Robert were all great. The shooting days were exhausting, for example we spent 5 hours in the boxing ring (not counting the off-location rehearsal time) for less than one-minute scene.

Rest of the film was shot around Eugene, and if you live here, you will recognize the locations.
