For 21 years I worked as a software engineer for Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis, OR. In 2002 I took an early retirement, so I could concentrate on completion of my Master of Arts in Education Degree (specializing in Adult Education and Distance Learning). I finished this program in 2003. So I found myself highly educated and seriously underemployed... But lack of a full time job could be a blessing that allowed me to find new ways to express myself. I decided to make a movie and I spent from June to November 2004 working on it (read about it by following the link above). It was one super experience!

I am one of the founders and organizers of the Eugene International Film Festival. I resigned from the board September 2007 after 2 1/2 years of service.

Since 1999 I have been teaching at the Lane Community College in Eugene, OR. in the Computer Information Technology department. (Here is the link to my Web Site there).
At the young age of 21, I graduated from (then) very well known art school of Antoni Kenar in Zakopane, Poland, My degree was in sculpture. After arriving in US (and officially changing the spelling of my name from Tadeusz to Thaddeus) I started to work as a stonecutter and eventually opened my own monument business. After 8 years I decided to change my profession, went back to school, and received the Computer Science Degree. With this new piece of paper Hewlett Packard hired me in 1981 and I spent 21 years there. In 1999 I started to teach in Lane Community College in their Computer Science department.
After I left HP I received my Master in Education in 2003. In 2008 I started to teach in the Business School of the University of Oregon.
I am serious about pursuing art, writing and photography, and currently working on my next movie/play.
I lived in many places in Europe, before I arrived to USA, where I lived in Ohio, then California, and finally, since the summer of 1981, I settled in Oregon, living in Corvallis, Eugene, Philomath, and in 1996 I moved back in Eugene, one of the last bastions of a 60's hippidom. I love it here. I have one hour to the spectacular Oregon coast and one hour to Cascade mountains snow. I am down to two cats who did not adopt too well to 5th story condo living.
